Meet Samuel Adut Loi Akok: A poet and author using his talent to inspire and impact communities.

Samuel Adut Loi Akok, a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the University of Rwanda from
South Sudan, is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, Year 1. He is a poet and author whose creative journey began on a quiet night when he wrote his first poem
in memory of his late mother. Since then, his passion for poetry has flourished, earning him
awards, published works, and a platform to address important societal issues.
